Explore 45 acres of beautifully planted woodland gardens, lakes, and sculptures, all enhanced by the sounds of wildlife.

Arboretum

Explore over 300 varieties of trees across 12 acres of woodland, featuring rare species, heritage Oaks and beautiful seasonal colour throughout the gardens.

Himalayan Shelter

Inspired by traditional Himalayan architecture, this handcrafted cedar shelter features intricate woodcarvings and authentic construction methods from North West India.

Pagoda

Built in Bali, this striking lakeside Pagoda is admired for its distinctive red pillars, oriental details and peaceful setting beside the floating Magnolia sculpture.

Summerhouse

This charming early 20th century summerhouse features rustic wooden detailing, traditional craftsmanship and a peaceful setting amongst the woodland gardens.

Norse Hut

Inspired by local Viking history, this impressive Norse hut was handcrafted using estate timber and reflects traditional Nordic architecture and woodland craftsmanship.

Discover The Gardens

Explore woodland landscapes, seasonal planting, lakeside walks and sculptures thoughtfully placed throughout the park and gardens.

Collection of Plants & Flowers

The garden has one of the North’s largest collection of rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias.

Primulas dance along the lakeside walks, look-out for the rare meconopsis blue poppy and enjoy the mass plantings of hybrids and drifts of spring bulbs providing fantastic seasonal interest.

45 Acre Woolands Garden Park

The park covers 45 acres of stunningly beautiful woodland, gardens and an arboretum; enhanced by 3 lakes, and a number of features to enjoy.

The landscape comprises of a beautiful valley providing breathtaking views across the park. So many great things to see in the garden.

Contemporary Sculptures

Discover over 90 permanent sculptures set throughout the landscape, each thoughtfully placed to interact with light, surroundings, and views.

In 2026, over 60 temporary works will feature in the Sculpture in the Landscape Exhibition, with many pieces available to purchase.

Take time to slow down and fully take in the surroundings.
The garden’s lakes, woodland paths, and open spaces create a calm and relaxing environment to explore at your own pace.

With ever-changing scenery and natural beauty in every direction, it’s the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Last admission is at 3pm and we kindly ask that all visitors leave the Park by 4pm

Monday Closed on Monday (except Bank Holiday Mondays open 10am -4pm)
